16 houses gutted in Arunachal fire

ITANAGAR: More than 16 houses were reduced to ashes in a devastating fire at Fishery Colony in Dumporijo in Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday. On his part, the legislator announced to provide relief of Rs 6 lakh from his MLALAD fund. There has been no report of human casualty.Chief minister Pema Khandu , expressing deep sorrow, directed the district administration to provide all possible assistance to the victims of the fire. The inferno that broke out around 6 am rendered 22 families homeless. Property worth lakhs of rupees have been completely damaged.

There has been no report of human casualty.Chief minister Pema Khandu , expressing deep sorrow, directed the district administration to provide all possible assistance to the victims of the fire. He also sought a detailed report on the losses incurred with proper assessment so that adequate relief can be released from the state government.Dumporijo MLA Paknga Bage also urged the Upper Subansiri DC and the ADC concerned for providing immediate relief to the victims. On his part, the legislator announced to provide relief of Rs 6 lakh from his MLALAD fund.
