Arunachal body in anti-migrant campaign

ITANAGAR: The state's apex student body, All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (Aapsu), has launched an anti-migrant Operation Clean Drive to evict those it considers "illegal migrants" - those who are from outside the state and do not possess valid documents like the Inner Line Permit (ILP). "With help from police, we have driven out more than 1,000 ILP violators from the Capital Complex," said Tatung Taga, chairperson of Operation Clean Drive committee. "The numbers from the districts are yet to come in, but all our units have been conducting the drive in their districts. The operation will continue," he added.
