CM Pema Khandu launches WiFi hotspot in two Arunachal districts

He added that the WiFi services have been rolled out as per the budget announcement and similar hotspots were launched earlier in several educational institutions in Itanagar , a CMO release informed here. ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Friday said the government is trying to promote the usage of information technology and all government offices will go paperless by 2021.Launching the WiFi hotspot for Tawang and Dirang districts at Tawang, the chief minister said paperless transaction will help stop manipulation, ensure transparency and provide easy access of services to the people. Khandu further said 66 access points in Tawang and 12 in Dirang would be installed, which would be capable of providing WiFi service to 124 users at each access points.Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju as well as MLAs Tsering Tashi (Tawang), Phurpa Tsering (Dirang) and Jambey Tashi (Lumla) were also present on the occasion.
