Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan Meet held in Yupia Arunachal Pradesh

A CorrespondentYUPIA: A daylong awareness camp on nutritional requirements from perspective of gender equality was organized by District ICDS Cell, Papum Pare Yupia as a part of Poshan Maah Celebration at ZPC hall here on Friday. Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu called upon all stakeholders to take the message of nutrition to every nook and corner of the district so that maximum numbers of beneficiaries can take benefit of the programme. He further requested Deputy Director ICDS to ensure that Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan Meet held in Yupia is effectively implemented in PapumPare District and assured that District administration will give full support and cooperation in its successful implementation. Additional Deputy Commissioner Tabang Bodung who administered the Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan Oath to all participants in the programme also said that awareness has to be generated on nutritional values from grassroots level in which Aganwadis and ASHA workers had to play greater role in educating the people on nutrition, health and sanitation. District Medical Officer Dr. Subu Tasso Kampu who also spoke on the occasion highlighted on the activities of health departments regarding pregnant women, girl child (Dulari Kanya) and Diarrhoea control programme and role of ASHAs and ASHA Facilitators in their respective health facilities and she extend her full support for effective implementation of Poshan Maah.
