JAIPUR: The third edition of the international travel photography festival ‘JaipurPhoto’ will be held in the city from February 23 to March 04 at Jawahar Kala Kendra This year, both the title and theme of ‘JaipurPhoto’ take their inspiration from the classic 1966 song by Simon & Garfunkel – ‘Homeward Bound’. The programme considers the ways in which a wide variety of contemporary photographers explore, express, engage with and examine notions of ‘home’, and how one’s idea of ‘home’ is both determined and defined by people themselves and others. Homeward Bound offers a wide range of diverse perspectives from various photographers participating at the event, drawing audiences in to its meaning and importance of home in each person’s life. The highlight would be a special collateral exhibition which is to be held at the City Palace by Tarq Gallery from Mumbai showcasing work by Clare Arni , a photographer based in Bangalore. Her work encompasses architecture, travel, social documentary and cultural heritage. The event will also have a special screening of the film made by the French photo collector Christophe Prebois on a Rajasthani studio photographer (Mr Chand) where both Prebois and Chand will be present for the screening of the film.Besides, among the list of speakers to name a few are Erik Kessels , a Dutch artist, Aveek Sen, Regine Petersen, Anna Fox, Arko Datto, Jason Fulford, Terje Abusdal, Val Williams.
