JAIPUR: Accepting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s fitness challenge, senior IPS officials of Rajasthan including DGP OP Galhotra on Sunday took part in several exercises and posted videos on social media sites.The DGP and other senior officials including ADGPs and IGs gathered at central gym located at the state police headquarters early on Sunday morning and took part in multiple exercises from running on trade mills to yoga and cycling. A total of 22 SPs took part for Sunday’s fitness challange.The police chief had also given challenge to all inspector generals and superintendents of police posted at different districts of the state. Jhunjhunu SP Manish Agarwal posted video of him sweating in a gym. Churu SP Bharat Rahul and Alwar SP Rahul Prakash posted videos of their weight lifting exercises on their social media accounts. Kota range IG Vishal Kumar Bansal and city SP Anshuman Bhomia accepted the challenge and cycled on the streets of Kota. DCP Jodhpur (east) Amandeep Kapoor Singh, Bhilwara SP PM Sharma and Bikaner SP Sawai Singh Choudhary also posted their workout videos online.“Our aim is that police officials should be fit to serve our state to the best of their capabilities,” DGP OP Galhotra said, adding that a physically fit official is better equipped to handle mental stress.
