Udaipur: Rehabilitation of the 67 minor girls, who were rescued from a hotel in Rajsamand a week ago, is posing several challenges to the child welfare committee which is yet to authenticate the addresses of the girls due to their origins from different states.Many of the identity proofs such as Aadhaar card of these minor girls are raising suspicion because of their non-conformity with their parents details.“One of the girls from Nepal has an Aadhaar card issued from Mt Abu, while her parents address proofs belong to Nepal. Another girl’s Aadhaar is from Sonipat, her mother lives in Delhi while father is at Kanpur. Similarly, another girl’s mother lives in Delhi, father in West Bengal but she hails from Chattisgarh. It’s really difficult to determine their true addresses and shift them accordingly,” Gajendra Singh Chundawat, a CWC member informed.Meanwhile, the committee has also sought a social investigation report of the rescued minors. “The report will include every detail of the child like her parents, family background, education level, physical condition etc which is essential for considering her rehabilitation,” Bhawna Paliwal, the committee chairperson said.The committee has ordered shifting of two Chattisgarh girls to the CWC of their concerning districts.“We have written to the Superintendent of Police to provide us a team which would escort these girls to their respective native lands but the team is yet awaited,” Paliwal said.The committee members also said that parents of 60 rescued girls have reported here but seven girls, including two from Assam, one each from Nepal, Sikkim, Karnataka, West Bengal and Bihar have not turned up yet. Another issue in the case is that Sirohi collector had mentioned 128 girls to be living in the Adhyatmik Gaumukh School at Mt Abu. However, from the 67 minors found in Rajsamand, details of 57 girls have been matched while 10 girls were newly inducted as per the institution's records.“It has to be ascertained where the remaining 71 girls have been sent. If they have left the school and gone to their parents, there should be proper documentation, we are finding out that details too,” Chundawat told TOI.
