JAIPUR: The Manak Chowk police on Sunday recovered the skin of a tiger , nails and fake silver coins from two accused.Police said that on July 1 it has arrested one Ajay Kumar Gokhru with nails and other items. After he was interrogated, the police zeroed in on two wildlife smugglers from Shirdi in Maharashtra.On July 11, police arrested Rajesh Bhonlse and Gajanand Panwar. The police said that based on the interrogation of the two police teams were sent to their native place which found a Tiger skin , antique items and fake silver coins.The police said that the duo smuggled wildlife parts to customers. The primary investigation indicated the involvement of a bigger racket. “We are currently trying to investigate to find who sold them the skin of the tiger; an FIR under wildlife Act has been filed too.Gokharu had told police that he had accumulated lot of debt due to which he was under severe financial problems and began selling illegal items. “A skin of any big cat costs about 1 lakh in the grey market . There is also a hint about poachers being involved in the racket,” the official told TOI.
