The undeclared emergency is leading the country nowhere and it is ruining the democratic institutions. It has no limits. Only the advocates can stop it,” said Singhvi. The event was organised by legal cell of Pradesh Congress Committee. The Supreme Court lawyer pointed out that Modi government is deliberately delaying appointments on the 440 vacant posts. “The delay is due to the fact BJP wants to fill these post with people who subscribe to their ideology,” alleged Singhvi, who mentioned that four Supreme Court judges had to hold a press conference to voice their concern over the deteriorating democratic institutions in the country. “It is matter of shame for the nation,” asserted Singhvi.Veteran Congress leader Mohan Prakash claimed that the lawyers were the strength of Congress since early days. “The Congress will again witness its days of glory if their support is won back,’’ said Prakash, who said that BJP rule is marred by instances of attacks on farmers, students, Dalits and minorities.
