JAISALMER: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) is ready to deal with any adverse situation during monsoon with boats and modern training. With alert of heavy rains in coming days in the state SDRF has been deployed in 21 districts with all equipment and boats."The teams of SDRF have been given special training by the army and NDRF," said SDRF ADG BL Soni, talking exclusivly to TOI. SDRF is ready and fully trained like the NDRF ( National Disaster Response Force ). The recently created disaster response force is trying to become professionally competent, well equipped and sensitive disaster response force of the country. They are working in close coordination with district administration, police, civil defence, NDRF and other government departments.A separate logo with "Commitment for prompt & proper response during disaster" as the main motto was launched and intensive training programmes were conducted. So far 632 personnel of SDRF have undergone a 45 day long disaster response course conducted by NDRF and 160 men have been trained by Indian Army in "One month training on disaster response". Out of these trained persons, those performing excellent have been sent for advance course like "Training of Trainers" 186 so far, and master of trainers with 38 experts so far in the SDRF.
