JAIPUR: The recruitment process of Rajasthan University is being affected as University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a circular to postpone the recruitment process in all the universities in the country.The issue had been raised in Supreme court whether to consider University as a unit while granting reservations in recruitment, or to give reservation considering department as a unit.A case was filed in Allahabad high court which was later upheld by the Supreme Court regarding the issue mentioned above. Government of India has filed Special Leave Petition (SLP) in Supreme Court after which the recruitment processes have been stopped. The next hearing in the case will be held on August 13.In Rajasthan University, selections of all the departments have been completed except for Political Science and Economic Administration and Financial Management (EAFM), which will be stopped after this order. Similarly, candidates who haven't joined will also not be given any joining date till further orders are issued.Public relation officer of the Governor house said that "As per the guidelines issued by UGC, recruitment process in all the universities in the state are put on hold. We have to follow the instructions and wait till further orders."
