To curb road accidents in the state and to spread awareness about road safety, the Transport Department of Rajasthan has taken a creative route. Shailendra Agarwal , Commissioner, State Transport Department, says, “We wanted to design the campaign in such a way that it becomes a movement. Vaibhav Sharma from Taramani Foundation says, “We have shot ad films to sensitise people, which will be screened across all the cinema halls in the city. One of these films was recently shot at Jaipur-Delhi Highway.” Vaibhav, who is co-directing one of the ad films, adds, “We are planning to shoot three ad films, which will be circulated on social media.” It will soon start a campaign, Donate Your Space, wherein any restaurant or café in the city, or an individual can join hands with the RTO and provide a wall or a corner in their premises to display wall art, poster or art installations with messages related to road safety.
