Jaisalmer: Two residents of Bor Charanan, a woman and her brother-in-law, allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree at village Nemithada Khurd Bhoonkaron in Dhorimanna police station area of Barmer district, on Saturday morning. Police suspect a love angle in the suicides.Kamla (32) who got married 15 years ago, had two sons aged five and two. On Friday afternoon, Kamla’s husband went to pick his son from school when Kamla left home at 2pm and did not return till late in the night. He received the news of her suicide in the morning. Villagers had found the bodies and had informed the police.According to police, a love affair was going on between Kamla and Devaram (19), her brother-in-law who was unmarried. On Friday afternoon, both ran away from home and reached meethada. Some mine labourers had also seen them in the evening. On Saturday morning, at 5am, both committed suicide by hanging from a tree.The reasons for the suicides are not known. Police suspect that they were in love and have committed suicide because of this. Police handed over the bodies to the family members after postmortem and have started the investigation.In last three months, in 5 cases, 11 people have committed suicide in the area.
