Raje cabinet ministers attend Vajpayeersquos funeral in Delhi

Jaipur: Chief minister Vasundhara Raje attended the funeral of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in Delhi, on Friday. Raje paid her respect to the departed soul at the residence of Vajpayee at Krishna Menon Marg. Raje had to leave for Delhi, leaving her Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra in the midst.BJP state president Madan Lal Saini also attended the funeral in Delhi. Party workers took a pledge to follow the legacy of our beloved former Prime Minister,” said Sharma. “Party workers gave a floral tribute to the former Prime Minister Vajpayee sahab.

Raje paid her respect to the departed soul at the residence of Vajpayee at Krishna Menon Marg. She, along with cabinet ministers, MLAs and party members, paid obeisance to the mortal remains of the former PM, kept at the BJP headquarters at Deen Dayal Upadhyay marg in Delhi. Raje had to leave for Delhi, leaving her Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra in the midst.BJP state president Madan Lal Saini also attended the funeral in Delhi. Anand Sharma, state head, media relation department, informed that condolence programmes were held at several places in the state by the party workers. “Party workers gave a floral tribute to the former Prime Minister Vajpayee sahab. Party workers took a pledge to follow the legacy of our beloved former Prime Minister,” said Sharma. BJP minority morcha also paid a floral tribute to Vajpayee. Syed Afshan Chishty, member, Madarsa Board, said that Vajpayee’s message of peace and harmony has always encouraged the youth to contribute towards nation building.BJP’s student wing ABVP also paid tribute to the former PM. Ravi Sankhla, ABVP leader, organised a prayer for the departed soul.
