Jaipur: Heavy to very heavy rainfall lashed many places in eastern and some parts of western Rajasthan, on Tuesday. Jaipur met office further predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places in eastern Rajasthan in the next couple of days. Roopwas (Bharatpur) and Nagrar Fort (Tonk) received a rainfall of 110 mm each, which was the highest in the state.Attributing the widespread monsoon activity to the active northerly winds, Jaipur met office said that at least 11 districts in Rajasthan are likely to get heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next couple of days.Jaipurites witnessed a cloudy, yet sultry weather throughout the day. In the afternoon, a maximum temperature of 33.6 degree Celsius was recorded in the city. No rainfall was reported till the evening.Roopwas (Bharatpur) and Nagrar Fort (Tonk) were followed by Nainwa (Bundi), where a rainfall of 90 mm was received, Karauli (Karauli) got 80 mm, Piplu got 70 mm, and Badesar (Chittorgarh) got 60 mm. Many places in the state also got a rainfall varying from 10mm to 60 mm.Met office further stated that after the revival of rainfall since last Friday, a good amount of rain was reported across the state. Farmers in the state are praying for the rains to continue, to enable the sowing of the Kharif crop.
