HC notice to GAD over cancellation of house to special judge

He said the issue involves his security as well, and demanded that he be allotted an appropriate accommodation. Jaipur: High court has issued notice to principal secretary and joint secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), over cancellation of the house allotted to special judge L C Kiradu, hearing the Jaipur bomb blast case.The division bench of Justice M Rafiq and Goverdhan Bardhar issued notice on a petition by Kiradu .He said the state government (GAD) had allotted a house to him at Gandhi Nagar, but it was cancelled on July 5 this year. He had sought more time to vacate the premises.The judge pointed out that he has been living in the circuit house at his own expense, and the place is frequented by all kinds of people.

The court thus cleared the appointment of 4940 posts of English teachers.The court of Justice V S Siradhana ordered that only those candidates who had studied English as the main subject or an optional subject in graduation, are eligible for appointment of English teachers. The directorate of education had selected candidates with additional one-year diploma in English also eligible for selection, but this was challenged in the court on the ground that such a course was not recognized by the UGC. The court had earlier stayed the appointments on January 28 this year.
