The court gave August 25 for the next hearing of the case. Jaipur: Contrary to the BJP claim that Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra by chief minister Vasundhara Raje is purely a party programme and the PWD had withdrawn its order for arrangement for the yatra, the petitioner said that the PWD has only changed the name of the work and even now the state government is bearing the cost of the yatra.The petitioner said that the affidavit by the BJP that no government machinery and money is used for the yatra stands false and invite contempt of court proceedings for misleading the court.The BJP on the other had filed an application claiming that the party had so far incurred an expenditure of Rs 1.07 crore for the yatra.Madahv Mitra, counsel for the petitioner Vibhuti Bhudhan Sharma, said that the PWD by a corrigendum issued on August 8 had only changed the name of the work to “Work of Developmental exhibition for VIP Visit in Sirohi district” in place of “water proof tentage and German hanger (dome) work for Gaurav Yatra for Honourable CM in district Sirohi”.Recently, the executive engineer of PWD Chohatan issued notice inviting tender referred barricading work of Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra.The petitioner said that they were able to access e-procurement tender documents for as many as 22 job works floated by the PWD under VIP visit of Chief Minister to the tune of nearly Rs 4 crore.“The tenders as well as the e-procurement tender details obtained from the official government website show the extensive use of government machinery for the yatra purpose,” the petitioner claimedThe petitioner pleaded that in the given circumstances there is every likelihood of using government machinery and money through other departments as well for which the petitioner was not able to lay his hand on and demanded that the chief secretary be summoned and appropriate direction be issue that no state government machinery is not misused.
