Govt doctors to go on mass leave on September 20

JAIPUR: Government doctors in rural areas and in district hospitals have threatened to go on mass leave on September 20 to protest against non-implementation of agreement signed by them and the state government in 2017 in its true spirit. Following core committee’s meeting, a meeting was called by health minister Kalicharan Saraf for discussing the matter with the agitating doctors. ARISDA officer bearers said that the government sought seven days’ time for acting on the demand of the doctors. Doctors are feeling cheated.”Doctors gathered in the city from different districts and expressed their anger against the government.

JAIPUR: Government doctors in rural areas and in district hospitals have threatened to go on mass leave on September 20 to protest against non-implementation of agreement signed by them and the state government in 2017 in its true spirit. A core committee meeting of All Rajasthan In Service Doctors Association ( ARISDA ) was held in Jaipur in which they took decision of mass leave.Dr Ajay Chaudhary, president ARISDA said, “The government had signed agreements on November 12 and December 27 last year for taking action on our demands. More than nine months have passed but the government has not taken action on the agreement to fulfil our demands. Doctors are feeling cheated.”Doctors gathered in the city from different districts and expressed their anger against the government. They alleged that the state government is ignoring the agreement it signed with them. Following core committee’s meeting, a meeting was called by health minister Kalicharan Saraf for discussing the matter with the agitating doctors. Chief secretary DB Gupta, additional chief secretary (finance) Mukesh Sharma, additional chief secretary (health) Veenu Gupta were present in the meeting.The meeting continued for two-and-a half hours. The discussion was held on each and every demand of doctors. After listening to their demands, the state government officials sought time for seven days. ARISDA officer bearers said that the government sought seven days’ time for acting on the demand of the doctors.
