Jaipur: A day after the badly decomposed body of a 21-year-old youth was recovered from Bajaj Nagar police claimed on Wednesday that the death was a case of suicide.Police said that the youth has been identified as one Yoginder Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, who had been working in the city. “His body was completely decomposed; insects and animals had eaten up his face and other body parts,” the official said.A car was recovered through which the police identified him as a resident of Uttar Pradesh, and his family members have been informed about the incident and are currently heading to the city. “It appears to be a case of suicide as we have found hanging marks on his body. However, only a detailed post-mortem will reveal the real cause of his death,” said an official.Singh’s body was found late Tuesday night after a stench started emanating from the spot. “There is an abandoned oil tank compound and fuel pump. His body was found near a pit, insects and dogs had eaten the body,” the official told TOI.The Jaipur police, however, said that they will speak to the parents once they arrive in the city to get more details about the incident. “A post-mortem will be conducted once they arrive in the city, we will ask them if they have any doubts on anybody,” the official told TOI. Singh’s body has been kept at the mortuary of a hospital.
