Jaipur: Three days after a banker was shot dead in Kardhani area, the police on Friday claimed to have cracked the case after investigators found that contract killers were hired for 5 lakh to gun down Roshan Lal Yadav. Four suspects were also detained.“The sharpshooters were hired probably from Uttar Pradesh by one of his aquatints. We are hunting for shooters, but the motive of crime has become very much clear,” an official said.Roshal Lal Yadav, a banker with a leading private, was shot dead in the city on Wednesday night in Kardhani. The investigators on Friday detained four persons, including a former neighbour who lived in the same locality but he had moved recently to another place. The police had not ruled out the involvement of a family member and hence spoke with deceased’s his wife and other relatives.The police said that his wife had filed a case against him at Kardhani police station four months ago and that the couple quarrelled regularly. The police also investigated if there was any financial dispute behind the case as Yadav used to give loans, however, no evidence to that effect was found.A search team was sent to Uttar Pradesh to nab down shooters. The police ruled out loot as the motive for the crime as shooters did steal anything. “Shooters were marksmen. They overtook his car on their scooty, tapped at his window. No sooner had Yadav rolled down car windows than they fired at him in quick succession,” the official told TOI.The footage from over a dozen CCTVs installed near a temple and localities in Kardhani were retrieved by the police which showed footage of two suspects riding on the scooty following his car. “We are tracking the locations of sharpshooters. They could be either in Uttarakhand or Uttar Pradesh,” the official said.
