Govt spending without any provision in Budget Gehlot

Jaipur: Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot alleged that the state BJP government is on a spending spree before the assembly elections without any budgetary provisions. He also alleged that large scale transfers were carried out in the higher education department with an eye on the elections.Gehlot said, the BJP government which is busy in organizing beneficiary meetings had forgotten the promise of the formation of a regulatory body for private colleges in the Suraj Sankalp Patra in 2013. He said, a ‘Higher Education and Human Resource Conclave’ is proposed to be held at Hotel Clarks Amer from September 24-25 when the government failed to fill up the vacant faculty positions in the colleges.He said, the people of the state would not forgive the BJP government for the misappropriation of public money.Gehlot in a statement said that the conclave is being organized by a Dubai-based company and faculties owing allegiance to a background has been invited to the conclave.He said, first beneficiary meeting of the prime minister was followed by SC/ST employees meeting, teachers meeting and head constables meeting were being organized at huge expense to the state exchequer without any budgetary provision.Former chief minister said, in 2013, the RPSC had sent requisition for the appointment of 1,300 lecturers but only 100 were given appointment.
