EditedJaipur: Busting an interstate racket of drug peddlers, the Rajasthan ATS along with GRP, Ajmer on Friday have arrested two persons from Ajmer railway for allegedly smuggling opium from Jharkhand to Bhilwara. “All of them were arrested by Kota team of ATS and were handed over to the Kotadi police station,” said a senior officer. The GRP has registered a case under appropriate sections of NDPS Act in Ajmer.Earlier, four persons were arrested by Kotadi police station in Bhilwara with an illegal possession of 48kg opium. We have also seized 2kg of opium from their possession,” said Umesh Mishra, ADG, ATS and SOG. Sleuths have also seized 2kg of opium from the possession of the two persons.According to the senior officers of ATS, they had been getting inputs that a haul of narcotics is reaching Ajmer through Sealdah express train.
