One more in SHO and constable murder arrested; two still left

JAIPUR: A day after arresting three prime accused in the murder of SHO and a constable, police revealed that a fourth accused identified as Aamir has also been arrested in the case for the murder. When it was cleared that Ajay Choudhary and Jagdeep alias Dhankar reached Mumbai, the Ahmedabad team left for Mumbai. Late on October 6 Ajay came to know that Manoj has left from a farm house he started chasing him. “The vehicle in which SHO of Kotwali Fatehpur, a constable and other policemen used actually resembled with the vehicle that belongs to Manoj.

JAIPUR: A day after arresting three prime accused in the murder of SHO and a constable, police revealed that a fourth accused identified as Aamir has also been arrested in the case for the murder. All the accused including the prime accused Ajay Choudhary and Jagdeep alias Dhankar were arrested from Mumbai, Rampal from Pune and were brought to Jaipur by the police team.Senior police officers including Pankaj Singh, ADG (crime), VK Singh, inspector general of police, Jaipur range along with Jhunjhunu and Sikar SP addressed a press conference to share all the tireless hard work they had put in as a team that fetched them the dreaded criminals.“A team of ATS through technical surveillance got to know that the accused could be in Pune and so they left for Pune on Friday. While another team comprising policemen from Jhunjhunu and Sikar rushed to Ahmedabad on Friday as they received some tip-off about one accused whom they believed could be in Ahmedabad. When it was cleared that Ajay Choudhary and Jagdeep alias Dhankar reached Mumbai, the Ahmedabad team left for Mumbai. The Pune team managed to arrest Rampal the co-accused in the murder and two others including Vibhor and Himanshu for harbouring the accused,” said VK Singh, inspector general of police, Jaipur range.What fetched police good results included tireless road and rail journey by two teams, cancelled leaves of the policemen who were clearly aware of the identity of the accused and proper coordination of senior officers of ATS and Jaipur range.“Since Friday every second was important for us. Had anyone in the teams would have taken a halt or rest for minutes all the accused could have boarded the train to Howarh. They had further planned to flee to Nepal,” Singh added.On the escape route police said that Ajay Choudhary came to Sikar on October 7 some hours after the murder. “He took some conveyance to Jaipur and from Jaipur he took a bus to Delhi and from Delhi he went to Pune and reached on October 9. The other two including Jagdeep and Rampal took Neem Ka Thana and Ringas to reach Delhi and Pune,” said a senior officer.Meanwhile, a team of police during early hours on Monday arrested Aamir in connection to the murder. “Now the arrested accused for murder of SHO and constable including Ajay, Jagdeep, Rampal and Aamir and two more left to be arrested. We have also arrested Vibhor and Himanshu for harbouring the accused,” said Singh.Police said that the team involved in arresting the accused would be felicitated.Varied version of police on escape route taken by the fugitives – Some claimed that Ajay reached Jaipur and took a train to Pune while others claim that he took a bus from Narayan Singh Circle to Delhi and from Delhi he reached to PuneMurder of SHO was outcome of a gang war – Ajay Choudhary was aiming to eliminate Manoj Swami a history-sheeter while his aide Rampal wanted to kill a local trader Pradeep Gill. Late on October 6 Ajay came to know that Manoj has left from a farm house he started chasing him. “The vehicle in which SHO of Kotwali Fatehpur, a constable and other policemen used actually resembled with the vehicle that belongs to Manoj. Ajay and his gang believed it was Manoj when they saw the vehicle on the way and so opened fire without knowing SHO Mukesh Kanoongo and the comstable Ram Prakash were killed.High alert by Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Churu police mocked by fugitives – As per police version the fugitives moved in the area and took trains and buses to reach Delhi, Jaipur to finally reach Pune. During this time police claimed that they were on high alert but still could not do anything.
