Jaipur: A 22-year-old budding anchor and aspiring model from Kota committed suicide inside her flat in Vaishali Nagar area on Tuesday evening. Police have also interrogated one of her friends.Sarita Choudhary, was found hanging from the ceiling of her one BHK apartment on Tuesday night. The team from Vaishali Nagar police that reached the spot, searched her place to find a suicide note but in vain.“She was a native of Kota district and had moved to Jaipur about two years ago. Her mother works as a government employee in Kota,” said Rajendra Rawat, SHO Vaishali Nagar.The police on Tuesday had picked her friend who was quizzed about Choudhary’s suicide. “We are trying to find out the reason of her suicide and have quizzed her friend. We have not come across anything suspicious so far,” Rawat told TOI.The police said that after moving to Jaipur from Kota, she worked with several event organizing companies as an anchor at shows. “Her body was handed over to the family. We have spoken to them but they were grief-stricken and were not in the condition to speak about their ordeal, so we will wait for a few days,” an official said, adding that she was mainly taking small anchoring assignments to support herself financially.The police said that she made a rope and hanged herself to death. “The initial investigation indicates that there were some personal issues which may have compelled her to take the extreme step. We will speak to her family members too,” the official said, adding that she lived with her friend in the city. “Her friends have shared some information which is being verified,” the official said.
