Jaipur: After the two leading parties — Congress and BJP — declared names of their candidates for most of the seats, protests and agitations prevailed across many parts of the state.Disgruntled leaders, with their supporters, marched to party offices as a mark of protest against their parties. Some descended at party headquarters in Jaipur while others raised slogans at local offices.Soon after the second list of Congress was rolled out on Saturday, the supporters of the Congress leader Brijkishore Sharma protested with black flags outside the party head office in Jaipur and demanded that his name be included in the list.Sharma, who was minister in Congress government’s previous tenure, was demanding ticket from Hawa Mahal constituency of Jaipur. However, the party has fielded former Jaipur MP, Mahesh Joshi on the seat.Supporters of candidates Bhram Dev Kumawat and Manju Sharma, who were denied tickets from Masuda and Vidhyadhar Nagar respectively, also staged protests in their constituencies. Vikram Singh Shekhawat, who is considered a close aide of AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh and former Jaipur MP Mahesh Joshi, also hit the road against his own party.Speculations are rife that erstwhile Kota royal Ijay Raj Singh could resign from the Congress after being denied ticket. BJP also remained a divided house as BJP MLA from Thanagazi in Alwar, Hem Singh Bhadana was denied ticket. He announced to go alone in polls.Rajkumar Rinwa, a BJP minister who was also denied ticket, filed his nomination as an independent candidate from Ratangarh in Churu district.
