A show set against the backdrop of Rajasthan, Manmohini is a story of an unfulfilled soul Mohini (played by Reyhna Malhotra) who has been longing to reunite with her love Ram (played by Ankit Siwach) and comes back from the past to haunt him and his present wife Siya.Garima Singh Rathore in a still from her showGarima, who is making her TV debut with this show, says, “After my graduation from University Maharani College, I wanted to pursue media studies and for the past two years, I was trying to get admission in a Mumbai-based institute. Finally, when I cracked the entrance exam this year, and was about to start the session, producer Prateek Sharma spotted me at the Mumbai airport and asked me to audition for Siya’s character. So I auditioned for it, and to my surprise, got selected. Right from childhood, I have been an artistic person. I sing and sketch. Though I had never thought of getting into acting. But I guess, that is what was written in my destiny,” Garima says.Garima shooting for the show in JaisalmerFor Siya’s character, Garima was told to put on weight. “That was the demand of the character. It was challenging (to put on weight), but then I like taking challenges. I am enjoying this new phase of my life. I have got an opportunity to introspect a new version of mine in the field of acting which is again an expressive form of art,” she says.
