KOTA: At least four persons including two women and a 12-year-old boy were killed on Thursday in two separate road mishaps in Bundi and Kota . The body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem on Thursday and a case against the truck driver was lodged for negligent driving. “The woman along with her husband Radhyshyam on a two-wheeler vehicle was going to a religious place in Mandana town when a speeding truck hit them near Kolipada following which the woman fell down on the road and was mowed down by the truck while her husband was flung a few meters away on the roadside,” the SHO added.The woman was rushed to hospital where she was declared brought dead while her husband was discharged after primary medical care. Police have lodged a case of negligent driving against the drivers of the vehicles and handed over the bodies to family members after post-mortem.In the first road mishap, three motorbike borne persons including a woman and a 12-year-boy were killed after a speeding Rajasthan Roadways contractual passenger bus collided with the motorbike near Aktsa over bridge on NH-52 under Talera police station of Bundi district.“The deceased were identified as Rekhlal Meghwal, 40, his wife Santosh Devi, 35 and their son Harishankar, all residents of Talera town,” SHO at Talera police station Ramesh Tiwari said. “The mishap occurred around 12.30 noon when the motorbike took a U-turn through the gap between the road dividers and the contractual Rajasthan Roadways bus coming from Kota collided with the motorbike killing Rekhlal and his wife Santosh on the spot and severely injuring the 12-year-old son, who was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to injuries during treatment,” the SHO said.Police have seized the contractual Rajasthan Roadway bus and lodged a case of negligent driving against its driver, SHO Tiwari said and added the three bodies were afternoon handed over to the family members after post-mortem on Thursday.Similarly, a 55-year-old woman was killed on the spot on Thursday noon when she was run over by a speeding truck after falling from a two-wheeler vehicle near Kolipada under Anantpura police station of Kota city.“The deceased woman was identified as Laxmibai Mali, 55, resident of Kaithunipol area,” SHO at Anantpura police station Narender Kumar Pareek said.
