Violent clashes communal tension hit Sikar

Jaipur: Polling in Sikar was marked by violent clashes, communal tension and scuffles among the party workers. Singh was rushed to the City hospital trauma centre along with the BJP supporters. Raghunath was also present at the polling booth. Tajpal Singh, additional superintendent of police Sikar told TOI that police have started its investigation and waiting for the FIR to file from the victim side. Doctors, after initial treatment, declared him out of danger and shifted to a general ward.Vishnu Chetani, president Sikar BJP said that party will launch a movement until the guilty will be punished.

Jaipur: Polling in Sikar was marked by violent clashes, communal tension and scuffles among the party workers. The BJP accused the Congress candidate Rajendra Pareek of thrashing its polling agent Mahendra Saini along with his supporters outside the polling booth.Singh sustained head injuries and 15 stitches on his head. Till the last report came FIR was being filed and he was referred to Jaipur due to his critical condition. The incident happened at 3 pm at a polling booth at an education department building at the busiest Jamuna Lal Bajaj Choraha.An eyewitness says that Pareek, along with his seven to eight supporters, including Jevan Khan, the chairman of Sikar Municipal Board came at the booth alleging BJP agents of casting fake votes. “They caught hold of all BJP agents which they identified including my son and started thrashing them with batons. I urged him to spare all of them as polling is going peaceful but they didn’t stop,” said Raghunath Saini, father of Mahendra told TOI. Raghunath was also present at the polling booth. Our party worker situation has become critical and we are shifting him to Jaipur,” said Chetani. A police team from Udhyog Nagar went to the register the statement of Mahendra but the latter was not in the position to narrate the story.Pareek talking to TOI denied having involved in an attack on the workers of any political party.Barely 50 km away from the Sikar, a communally sensitive Fatehpur assembly segment witnessed violent clashes between the two communities leaving one person injured and several vehicles damaged.
