JAIPUR: Outgoing chief minister Vasundhara Raje has sought apology from Congress president Rahul Gandhi over Supreme Court giving a clean chit to the Centre on Rafale deal on Friday. “Gandhi levelled false allegations on the central government, the army and common man. He should apologize to the nation,” said Raje.Sharpening her attack, she said, “Gandhi raised the issue only to win elections. He compromised with the security of the country.” Congress raised the issue of the deal in almost every public rally and the address in the recently concluded polls in Rajasthan Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.Talking about the verdict, she said, “Supreme Court has quashed all the petitions challenging the deal and asserted that deal didn’t violate any rule. The court has cleared that deal cannot be questioned and they found no evidence in the deal pointing any irregularity.”Newly elected MLA from Amber, Satish Poonia also attacked Congress for misleading the people of Rajasthan by raising false allegations over the Rafale deal. “During polls, they left no stone unturned to allege BJP over the deal. Now the matter has been cleared by the Supreme Court. I demand the battery of Congress leaders to apologize for the lie they repeatedly spread,” said Poonia.
