“BTP has in-principle supported the separate statehood demand of tribals. Newly elected BTP MLA (Chorasi) Rajkumar Roat told TOI that demand for the separate statehood is growing up fast in the tribal-dominated districts in three states. He said that demand for the separate state is coming from the tribal-dominated districts in Rajasthan—Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Sirohi, Dungarpur and Banswara. Tribals are the real occupants of this land and they were made migrants in other states like in Gujarat," said Roat. They are trying to change our names, culture, food habits and desperately putting us into their Varna System,” said Velaram Ghogara, state head BTP.

Jaipur: Upbeat over securing two seats in assembly polls, the Bhartiya Tribal Party ( BTP ) has held a public address in Banswara supporting the demand of separate statehood 'Bhil Pradesh' for tribals by carving tribal-dominated areas of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan. The conclave held on Thursday saw the presence of over 5,000 tribals who took a pledge to support the separate state and BTP in the Lok Sabha polls in all three states. Formed in 2017 in Gujarat, the party contested 11 seats in Dungarpur and Banswara. It won two seats while stood second in other two seats with a total of 0.7% vote share has jolted both the Congress and the BJP. Newly elected BTP MLA (Chorasi) Rajkumar Roat told TOI that demand for the separate statehood is growing up fast in the tribal-dominated districts in three states. “BTP has in-principle supported the separate statehood demand of tribals. Our main demand is proper implementation of scheduled-V of the constitution which safeguards the rights of tribal on their own land. Tribals are the real occupants of this land and they were made migrants in other states like in Gujarat," said Roat. He said that demand for the separate state is coming from the tribal-dominated districts in Rajasthan—Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Sirohi, Dungarpur and Banswara. Madhya Pradesh—Jhabua, Ratlam, Alirajpur and Badwani while in Gujarat –Panchmahal, Aravali, Dahod and Sabarkanta.“Tribal is politically awakened now and will not tolerate any exploitation. They understand their rights and knows how to claim it,” said Roat. The party is also critical of RSS tribal wing Vanwasi Kalyan Parishad. They accused the Parishad of exploitation innocent tribal during elections and diluting their culture by enforcing values which are alien to the trial. "We are tribal, not Hindus. RSS is changing our religious practices by introducing gods and goddess other than nature like trees, mountains, stars, moon etc which we worship. They are trying to change our names, culture, food habits and desperately putting us into their Varna System,” said Velaram Ghogara, state head BTP.
