Congress takes feedback on six Lok Sabha seats

Jaipur: The state unit of Congress on Wednesday took feedback from its workers about six Lok Sabha seats in Mewar, Ajmer and Jaipur regions to shortlist candidates for the upcoming general elections. The six seats discussed included Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Jalore-Sirohi, Ajmer and Jaipur city.The party state leadership has been taking feedbacks through a series of meetings being held the chief minister’s official residence in the Civil Lines here. A day earlier, the workers from Jodhpur, Jaisalmer-Barmer and Pali Lok Sabha areas gave their feedback to the state leadership.Chief minister Ashok Gehlot, deputy CM Sachin Pilot, AICC general secretary in-charge Avinash Pande and minister in-charges of the district concerned, among other Congress leaders, have been heading the meetings at the CMR.Gehlot told reporters on Wednesday that in preparation of the general elections the state leadership is first holding discussions with party workers. “We are trying to understand their feelings and will collectively select nominees for the Lok Sabha elections. The final decision will be taken by the party high command,” Gehlot said.He added that the party would win all 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
