RTU to upload studentsrsquo degrees on docu repository

Jaipur: Rajasthan Technical University ( RTU ) will upload degrees on the National Documents Repository (NDR) of students graduated from its affiliated engineering colleges. Under the process, every student can create an account on the portal and upload their documents. The NDR is an MHRD initiative which allows institutes to store academic awards like degrees, certificates, mark-sheets and diplomas of its students in the digitized form. Also, the employees don’t have to go for third party verification of the documents,” said Kaushik. It will help them in banking the documents which they can access from anywhere and present it without any need of validating them.

The NDR is an MHRD initiative which allows institutes to store academic awards like degrees, certificates, mark-sheets and diplomas of its students in the digitized form. The first of kind initiative in the state can be used by employees, higher education institutes, embassies and students.The initiative was taken by RTU vice-chancellor Narendra Kaushik on January 15, a day before he completed his tenure as VC. He signed the MoU with a private limited company for felicitating the process. Under the process, every student can create an account on the portal and upload their documents. It will help them in banking the documents which they can access from anywhere and present it without any need of validating them. Every student will get the account and password to access it. Similarly, university will also create an account and will upload the documents of its students.“Those who want to validate the documents have to place a request on the portal which will be received by the university. The university then will provide them the access to see the documents on the portal,” said Kaushik.The process will provide ease to both the employees and the candidates. “The candidates do not have to run to get it attested and stamped from government officials. Also, the employees don’t have to go for third party verification of the documents,” said Kaushik.
