38 reminders fail to get RSLDC to submit records to CAG

I don’t think so.” According to me, this can’t happen.

Jaipur: A government document reveals that the Comptroller and Auditor General ( CAG ) had given 38 reminders to Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC) from April 2017 to August 2017 to provide records and files pertaining to the department, for the period 2014-15 to 2016-17, for audit. Despite these reminders, the RSLDC failed to submit the required records.This was the time when Raje government was in power in the state.A letter dated August 22, 2017 from the audit officer of the CAG (GSSA-1, AG office, Rajasthan) to the managing director of RSLDC shows that 38 reminders were given to the corporation from April 26, 2017 to August 22, 2017 for thematic audit.The letter, in possession of TOI, states that: “Despite reminder letters were sent to the corporation, the audit team was not provided the records and required information till August 22, 2017 evening.” It also stated that the team has to complete the audit of the corporation within time limit. This letter was forwarded to the general manager and deputy general managers of the department by the financial advisor.According to a source in the department, later CAG wrote a letter to the managing director and the chief secretary of the state stating that no records have been provided to them.The CAG team had moved from the state after that and following the final letter, RSLDC had provided a theoretical reply with some information, but records were not provided. CAG had prepared the report based on these information as they did not receive the required records from the corporation.Financial advisor of RSLDC Sunil Soni, however, denied having received 38 reminders. “I don’t remember having received 38 reminders from CAG and that we didn’t reply to them. According to me, this can’t happen. I don’t think so.”
