JMC removes 16 iron gates shifts 4 dairies to outskirts of city

Residents in colonies without due approval installed iron gates on big roads and would close them as per their whims and fancies.
The drive was started three days back and will continue till the compliance of the order.Arjun Garg, a JMC official, said, “We are continuously working to remove the iron gates.
“In 2001, a survey was conducted in the city in which these dairies were shifted to three colonies especially made for them.
Jaipur: Following the Rajasthan High Court order, Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) within three days has removed 16 iron gates and shifted four dairies from the city to the outskirts.A high-powered committee was set up by the high court which was ordered to remove 27 iron gates on roads larger than 40ft and shift all the dairies from the city to the outskirts.
“I agree it is against the law to run the dairy in the city but it is financially beneficial for us due to the proximity to the consumers.
