However, it was axed two days before it was set to be observed by the students.Angered over the government’s move, Devnani said, “Is the government against the Indian value system? What was wrong in observing a day celebrating our parents. This government is working with vengeance. Our move was to minimize the influence of Valentine’s Day which is not part of the Indian culture.”Devnani also accused the minister of changing the names of previous BJP government schemes in the education sector. “Dotasara has only changed the names of schemes after his party’s dynasty leaders. I wish he should have continued the reforms initiated by our government,” said Devnani. The MPPD was first introduced by convict spiritual guru Asaram Bapu in 2007 against the celebration of Valentine’s Day.
