Jaipur: A case was registered against a youth from Jhunjhunu district for allegedly posting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ on his social media account after the Pulwama attack. The Jhunjhunu police officials are investigating the matter against 19-year-old Sameer Khan and say that the case against him is for trying to incite communal disharmony by posting anti-national sentiments on his social media account.Babulal Meena, assistant sub inspector, Jhunjhunu police station said, “The complainant read Khan’s post on social media in which he had written ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and a case has been registered against him. We have arrested Khan who claims he did not mean anything by the post. After questioning, it looks like he has not been involved in any anti-national activities but we will present him in the court on Monday for further orders.”A case under Section 153 A has been registered against Khan according to which promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony by words, either spoken or written, or by signs or by visible representations or otherwise, promotes or attempts to promote, on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, caste or community or any other ground whatsoever, disharmony is punishable.
