It was a treat for automobile enthusiasts of Jaipur as classic, vintage cars hit the city road and grabbed eyeballs on Sunday morning. This was a part of the 21st Vintage and Classic Car Exhibition and Rally , a two-day event, that was flagged off from a heritage property in Jaipur.A glimpse of the cars exhibited at the venueCars owned by aristocratic families of the state, noted entrepreneurs as well as those belonging to passionate car lovers were seen at the rally. More than 100 cars reigned the roads with vintage cars from 1923 to 1939 era and classic cars made between 1940 to 1959 from all across Rajasthan, Delhi and Punjab participated in the rally.Rajasthan DGP Kapil Garg and his wife Rachna enjoying a ride in a vinatge carSELFIE WITH THE VINTAGE BEAUTYFrom Cadillac and Jaguars to Austin Chummy and Rolls Royce, the rally had it all. Before the rally, enthusiastic youngsters were seen taking selfies with the beautiful cars in the background. Culturist Sundeep Bhutoria, who attended the exhibition on Saturday, said, “It’s totally worthwhile flying to Jaipur to witness this one-of-its-kind vintage car rally. I am glad to see that people are so passionate about their heritage and maintaining it with great perseverance.”Gaurav Nahata, a participant showing his car key studded with diamonds Not just the cars but their accessories, too, were a hot. A red coloured 1957 Plymouth Savoy’s ornamental key was one such item. Navratan Nahata, city-based lawyer and owner of the car who got this key customised, shared, “Since this is so special for me, I got a key customised which is an ornamental gold key studded with real diamonds.”Picture credit: Pankaj Sharma
