The incident sparked panic as the customers made a dash for their lives while café staff and delivery boys scurried in,” the official said.The police said that the accused also reportedly shouted inside the car that they were just having fun. “One of the witnesses said that the accused were shouting from inside the car that they were simply having fear and there was no need to fear,” said an official.The CCTV footage has been retrieved and the police are now trying to track down the offenders through the car’s registration number which has caught by the CCTV cameras. “The case of arms act has been registered there are some bullet marks which FSL is being examined,” cops said, adding that the CCTVs from all nearby streets are scanned to find which way the accused left.Raja Park, Adarsh Nagar and Moti Doongri have several eateries and café that operate till early morning. These eating joints in the past have witnessed several midnight brawls too and despite multiple objections by the residents no major crackdown has taken place on late night eateries yet.The sources informed TOI that whenever a crack down is conducted on late night joints, some market associations come down heavily on the administration. “Generally there are no such norms which stipulate timing for a shop except for liquor shops. But they do pose a law and order problem and we ask them to close it at least by 10pm,” an official said.
