JAIPUR: The day, Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) mayor Vishnu Lahta joined Congress, he issued a note sheet to the JMC commissioner to file an FIR against BJP MLA and former mayor Ashok Lahoty on charges of corruption in the allotment of land at New Light Colony during his tenure.Lahta has asked the commissioner to file an FIR in the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) against Lahoty alleging that he sub-let the land meant for public utilities to zonal deputy commissioner which is a misuse of the position. Later on, those lands were sold further on fake names through which Lahoty gained monetary benefit.Lahta, while talking to TOI, said, “The investigation done at that time was influenced by Lahoty and the process was not completed properly. This has tarnished the name of JMC in the public. Hence, I have asked to give the matter to ACB so that a fair investigation is conducted.”As per the allegations, ownership of five plots meant for public utility is in question which were worth Rs 6 crore.
