EC suspends 15 more poll officers

Jaipur: The district election department on Friday has suspended 15 more poll officers for absenting themselves from training for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.Earlier, seven persons were suspended out of the 260, who were issued show-cause notice for agitating, shouting slogans and boycotting training. The reply of the food inspector is also awaited.Meanwhile, state’s CEO Anand Kumar has issued directions for the use of stickers of different colours for the identification of the vehicles to be used by candidates, political parties and poll officers. The stickers would be of the size 9x6 inches.The polling in all the 13 seats on April 29 will be held from 7am to 6pm. If their reply is satifactory, then the charges against them may be dropped. "They get suspension notice, which is later converted to chargesheet.

They will get an opportunity to submit their reply. If their reply is satifactory, then the charges against them may be dropped. If found guilty, disciplinary action will be taken against them under CCA rules," said District Collector and election officer Jagroop Singh Yadav.The chief medical officer Narottam Sharma, who was given show-cause notice for alleged negligence in the supply of food packets to the polling officers, is yet to give his reply to the election department. The reply of the food inspector is also awaited.Meanwhile, state’s CEO Anand Kumar has issued directions for the use of stickers of different colours for the identification of the vehicles to be used by candidates, political parties and poll officers.
