Jaisalmer: Congress candidate from Barmer Lok Sabha seat, Manvendra Singh on Friday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of trying to take political advantage out of Army’s achievements. Singh said no other country does that, as it is against the nation’s defence strategies.“No country gives away details of its Army’s strategies like surgical strikes. No country tries to take political benefits from its Army’s actions,” Singh said at a press conference. “Modi talks of bringing in good days but no one knows when that will happen. Youth is battling with unemployment but Modi is busy giving slogans,” he said.On being nominated as the Congress candidate, Singh said his priority will be to get water for people and the cattle in every village and hamlet of the desert districts of Barmer and Jaisalmer. Singh said he wants to see Congress president Rahul Gandhi as the next PM. He also said he would like to see Priyanka Gandhi campaigning in Rajasthan, as she is a popular leader.
