Jaipur: A 30-year-old man died after he jumped from a Jhotwara located mall late on Friday night, the police said.Abhimanyu Singh, a resident of Vidhyadhar Nagar area of the city, was found dead on Saturday early morning.Speaking to TOI, the police said that a CCTV footage of Singh jumping from the third floor of the mall was retrieved.“Prime facie it appears to be a case of suicide. He worked at a private company in Jaipur. He was identified on Saturday evening,” an official said. The police said that they could not find any suicide note form him.“The body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem. Efforts are made to find out what prompted him to take the extreme step. We talked to his family but they were devastated and could not speak to us,” said the investigation official.The Jaipur police said that they are trying to track down his friends to check if he had told them anything before committing suicide, “He entered the mall at about 11.30pm on Thursday night. After spending some time on the shopping floor, he went upstairs and jumped,” an official said.The police said that investigation will be conducted after his cremation.
