Delhi-Ajmer via Jaipur rail route electrification work to be completed by October

The completion will bring down the travel town to at least 30 minutes and would also help the railways to save fuel.

In yet another delay in an infrastructure project due to Covid-19 outbreak, Delhi-Ajmer electrification work has been now delayed till October.

Since June the civil and electrical work has been started and the authorities are hoping to get the worlk completed by October 2020. The completion will bring down the travel town to at least 30 minutes and would also help the railways to save fuel.

Authorities of North Western Railways(NWR) on Monday said civil and electric work was almost complete except a patch of 22 Km between Bassi and Jaipur in the month of March. After completion, travel time between Jaipur and Delhi will be curtailed at least by 45 minutes.
