Govind Singh Dotasra, state minister of education and tourism, has been appointed as the new chief of the Pradesh congress committee.

After Sachin Pilot’s rebel against Congress and Ashok Gehlot, Ashok Gehlot finally removed Pilot from the post of Deputy Chief Minister with two other ministers from Pilot’s camp.

After Pilot and his loyalists did not attend the second CLP meet on Tuesday, CLP passed a resolution to remove Pilot from the cabinet and party posts. While Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala informed the media of the decision, CM Ashok Gehlot reached Raj Bhawan to inform Governor Kalraj Mishra about the same.

Governor Kalraj Mishra also accepted CM Ashok Gehlot’s proposal to remove Sachin Pilot as state Deputy Chief Minister. Governor Mishra also gave a nod to the sacking of two cabinet ministers Vishvender Singh and Ramesh Meena.

Soon after his removal, Pilot changed his bio on Twitter and posted “truth cannot be defeated”.
