BJP shifts party MLAs to Gujarat before assembly session

BJP fears that if 6 BSP MLAs get disqualified, then attempts can be made to get in touch with BJP MLAs and thus, as a possible preemptive move, the party has decided to shift its MLAs to Gujarat.

There are media reports which claim that Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has shifted some of its MLAs into a resort before Assembly Session and others will also be shifted soon.

 The party has planned to shift at least some of its MLAs to the neighbouring state of Gujarat, where the ruling party in government is the BJP.

As per a source, BJP fears that if 6 BSP MLAs get disqualified, then attempts can be made to get in touch with BJP MLAs and thus, as a possible preemptive move, the party has decided to shift its MLAs to Gujarat.

Five BJP MLAs from Udaipur have been shifted to Gujarat. They include Salumber MLA Amrit Lal Meena, Jhadol MLA Babulal Kharadi, Mavli MLA Dharm Narayan Joshi, Udaipur rural MLA Phool Singh Meena and Gogunda MLA Pratap Gameti. However, senior BJP leader, Leader of opposition in Rajasthan assembly and former Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria has not shifted to Gujarat.

MLA’s supporting Gehlot are currently camping in a resort in Jaisalmer whereas Pilot supporting MLAs are reportedly in a resort in Haryana.
