The MLAs, Sandeep Yadav, Wajib Ali, Deepchand Kheria, Lakhan Meena, Jogendra Awana and Rajendra Gudha contested and won the 2018 assembly elections on BSP tickets. However, they all shifted to Congress in September 2019.

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) issued whip for the second time for its Six MLAs in the Rajasthan Assembly, who have moved over to Congress, to vote against the Gehlot government in any no-confidence motion or any other proceedings in state Assembly.

The BSP warned the MLAs that the party would initiate action against them if they go against the order.

"All six MLAs have been directed under para 2(1)(a) of the Xth Schedule to vote against the Congress Party in any No-Confidence motion or any other proceedings to be held during the Assembly session of Rajasthan Assembly and if they violate the same they will face disqualification under para 2(1)(b) of the Xth Schedule," a press note by the party read. This whip was issued on Wednesday, BSP has earlier also issued a similar whip weeks ago.

In a major relief for Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the Supreme court on Thursday allowed the six MLAs to take part in the trust vote. The Supreme Court, which was hearing a petition of BJP MLA Madan Dilawar for a temporary freeze on the merger, refused to allow it and left the decision to a single judge in Rajasthan, which is hearing the matter.
