Mayoral polls: Cong bags four corporations, BJP two

Congress in Rajasthan has bagged four corporations in the mayoral polls while rival Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has got two corporations.

It was a happy day for Congress in Rajasthan on Tuesday, where it bagged the mayoral polls in four corporations. While rival Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has got two corporations.

The elected ward councilors voted to elect mayors of six municipal corporations across three cities - Jaipur, Kota, and Jodhpur.

As per the State Election Commission, BJP`s Saumya Gujjar defeated Divya Singh of Congress in Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation. Munish Gujjarof Congress defeated Kusum Yadav of the BJP in Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation.
