The Rajasthan Police in Baran district has registered a case against a 22-year-old man for allegedly abducting a 20-year-old woman and raping her in captivity for two weeks. The victim claimed she was rescued by her father on November 22.

In her complaint to the police, the woman said she had gone to her maternal uncle`s village to attend a wedding on November 9. This is when the accused, Phorulal Odd, spotted her answering nature`s call in a field and abducted her on his motorcycle. He then took her to a jungle near Mandana in Rajasthan`s Kota district.

The woman further alleged that the accused, a resident of Kapren in Bundi district, raped her repeatedly for 14 days before she was able to call her father for help. Her father rescued her, after which she approached the police and registered a complaint.

SHO (station house officer) of Anta police station, Umesh Manaria told news agency PTI that the woman`s father never registered a missing person complaint between the day of her abduction and the day she approached the cops.

An FIR has been registered on the basis of the woman`s complaint and the police have launched an operation to nab the accused. The SHO added that the complainant was taken for a medical examination earlier and her statement was recorded by a magistrate.
