Gehlot Government of the state has declared `Pandemic Red Alert Public Discipline Fortnight` from May 3 to May 17, 2021, with effect from 5 am today.

Announcing the guidelines late on Friday night, the home department termed it as Red Alert Public Discipline Fortnight in which new norms are far more strict than in the Public Discipline Fortnight announced from April 28 to May 3.

Among the new restrictions, there will be a curfew on weekends, which will begin Friday and last until 5 am Monday. For other days, there will be a curfew between 12 noon and 5 am the next day. According to the new guideline all workplaces, commercial establishments and markets will remain closed.

These restrictions will remain in force from today:

- If a person is found to be roaming without any reason during the curfew, he will be put under institutional quarantine until his RTPCR report is negative.

- All types of food items, groceries, flour mill, cattle feed, wholesale and retail shops will be open from 6 am to 11 am from Monday to Friday.

- Shops/premises of agricultural products will be allowed to open on Monday and Thursday from 6 am to 11 am.

- Optical related shops will be open from 6 am to 11 am on Tuesday and Friday.

- Fruits, vegetables mandis and flower garland shops will be open daily from 6 am to 11 am.

- The sale of vegetables and fruits through carts, bicycles, rickshaws, auto-rickshaws and mobile vans will be allowed in the range of 6 am to 5 pm daily.

- Dairy and milk shops will be allowed to open daily from 6 am to 11 am and from 5 pm to 7 pm.

- Ration shops will remain open without any holiday.

- Pharmaceuticals, medicines and medical device shops will open.

- Processed food, sweets, bakery and restaurants, etc. shops are prohibited

- Now 31 people will be allowed instead of 50 in the marriage ceremony.

- The marriage ceremony can be held as a single program for a maximum of 3 hours.

- Prior information about the wedding ceremony should be given to SDM

- Without prior notice, a fine of one lakh rupees will be imposed on the marriage.

- All industries and construction-related units will be allowed to work.

- Construction material shops will be allowed to open
