Rajasthan lifts weekend curfew, allows theatres, outdoor activities in fresh guidelines

Rajasthan`s Gehlot government has issued new guidelines on Saturday night to control the spread of the Covid-19. New guidelines will take effect from Sunday (11 July).

Rajasthan government has lifted the weekend curfew in the state in view of the decline in Covid-19 cases in the state. Meanwhile, the government has allowed the reopening of cinema halls, outdoor sports activities, restaurants to open till 10 pm with certain conditions.

Rajasthan`s Gehlot government has issued new guidelines on Saturday night to control the spread of the Covid-19. New guidelines will take effect from Sunday (11 July)

Activities allowed in new guidelines:

  • 15 persons of Band party, Light Decoration, and Catering can be present in the marriage ceremony. There will be no procession on the road, but DJ, Band party will be allowed in the marriage premises. The personnel must have taken at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
  • Restaurants have been allowed with 50 % capacity for dining; If 60 percent of the restaurant`s staff have already taken the first dose, then those restaurants will be allowed to open an additional 6 hours (4 pm to 10 pm).
  • Commercial establishments where 60 % of employees have been vaccinated with one dose will be allowed to open for additional four hours till 8 pm.
  • Outdoor sports activities will be allowed in the state from 6 am to 8 pm and indoor sports activities will be allowed from 6 am to 8 pm, only for those who have received at least the first dose of the vaccine. 
  • City/Mini buses will be allowed to operate between 5 am to 10 pm; no passengers will be allowed to stand in the buses.
  • Theatres will be permitted to open from 9 am to 8 pm, skill training centres will open with 50 percent capacity.
  • Marriage Garden, Marriage Hall and Hotel Complex etc. will be allowed from 6 am to 8 pm as per the given conditions with a cap of maximum 25 people for the wedding ceremony. 
  • After assessing the situation, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate can allow up to 50 guests/guests to attend the wedding ceremony. All religious places in the state will be allowed from 6 am to 8 pm.

Activities prohibited in new guidelines:

  • Organizing any public, social, political, entertainment, educational, cultural and religious functions/processions/festivals/fairs/haat market will not be allowed.
  • Coaching institutions, libraries etc. will remain closed.
  • Regarding the remaining activities, the orders issued earlier by the department will remain the same.
